When I was growing up, I never thought I would be a photographer, because when my dad gave me his old rangefinder camera and taught me how to use it, I didn’t get a lot of good pictures, even though I tried. And when I had to help him rinse family photographs in our bathroom turned into darkroom, I never thought I would want to do that again. It was pretty smelly!
But years later, in college I was invited into a real darkroom by my friend, who was taking a photo class. Suddenly I was shocked to watch the images magically appear on a plain white paper. I stayed there for a long time watching the process over and over again and didn’t mind the strong smell of chemicals anymore. Shortly after that, I decided to get a proper training in photography myself and I am so happy that I did.
I can’t imagine my life without photography. I love what happens in and out of the camera: the process of brainstorming ideas for the shoot, the shooting itself, the post processing. I get to see a lot of happy families and meet wonderful people along the way. Photography has given me the ability to capture and remember beautiful and sometimes subtle moments of life and I am very grateful for that.
Whatever you next project might be, don’t hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to work with you, listen to your needs and create memorable images!
With my images I am telling the story, that you can tell your own children.
